Little shrimp : a performance to remember !

The euro students or 4e, 3e and some 5e saw the play Little Shrimp » on Tuesday7th February, in our schooL It s a play written by Edith Miclo and performed by Pickles Company. There were three actors and six students of euro 4e on stage. The actors played a very funny and pleasant performance. We had a great time !

The plot is very simple : it is about a girl, Amy, who loves the ocean and nature and she wants to stop pollution. She is courageous, creative and rebellious. She has a lot or adventures during this play. She travels to a remote island with her friend Calico Jack to find a treasure map, and she meets a mermaid and a darting cabin boy ! The play was funny because it was not serious at all. The characters were wonderful rot example the mermaid sang very well, and Calico Jack was so dynamic and hilarious. The interaction was very good between the actors and the audience. But sometimes the play was a bit childish to some or us. The professional actors were very good. The girl who played Amy is Jane, a New Zealander. Her entry on stage was amazing ! She only played Amy, though. Kath is an American actress, she played the Mermaid, Mrs Walsh, the Dolphin and the Cabin Boy. She was awesome ! And finally the Canadian Dante Camarda played Calico Jack, the translator, and the TV presenter. The three actors were very kind and natural, and they played their parts very well ! Six of our mates performed in the show with the actors. In our opinion, it was admirable because it must be difficult to speak in front or everybody. In general they remembered their lines very well, so it was very impressive. Our classmates looked like real actors, thanks to the troop who helped them to feel confident. In one word, we enjoyed the show because it was humorous and very interactive. Playing with them was an interesting and enriching experience. Seeing the play was unique ! Thank you for the show !
